These groups would not be possible without volunteer facilitators that live or work in or near these communities. Lambert House receives funding from Best Starts for Kids, a King County voter-approved initiative to support every baby born or child raised in King County to reach adulthood happy, healthy, safe, and thriving.
Lambert Houses
Members of this team would work independently and/or together to accomplish projects while Lambert House is not open for youth drop-in (typically weekends, but weekday morning & early-afternoon are also possible). Ability to pick up and transport materials is very helpful – reimbursement or ordering in advance may be possible. A historic landmark in the city and famously featured in AHS, “Welcome to… murder house.” The Rosenheim Mansion was built in 1902 taking 5 years to complete.

Koschei Budkar is a 20-year-old student at the University of Washington who has been a part of the Lambert House community since before the pandemic. Lambert House is a force against prejudice in the struggle to build a world in which LGBTQ+ children and young adults are healthy and safe, and command equality in their families, schools, and communities. You might be surprised how easy it can be to meet someone going through the same things you are! Some great ways to do that are joining a support group, an activity, talking to one of the adult role models, using our computer lab, getting dinner, shooting pool, or playing games.
Additionally, the neighborhood boasts the former residences of Paris Hilton and former NBA star Elton Brand. Beverly Hills’ allure stems from its luxurious real estate and vibrant community of celebrities, providing Lambert with both privacy and the chance for encounters with fellow stars in the entertainment industry. Multiple lounge spaces thoughtfully scattered around the outdoor area provide various vantage points to soak in the California sun. Plush sun loungers invite residents to bask in the warmth, work on their tans, or simply enjoy a good book.

With five bedrooms and an equal number of bathrooms, every corner of this estate exudes an air of luxury, but it’s the master suite and ensuite that truly steal the spotlight.

It's been around for more than 30 years, but it shut down at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. In one indication of program efficacy, LGBTQ+ youth have actively sought, participated in, and returned to Lambert House’s programs more than 10,000 times since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
